Our Submission Document

North Warwickshire Borough Council, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, Stratford on Avon District Council and Warwick District Council have jointly submitted a clear and compelling proposal for the creation of two unitary councils to replace the present six councils across Warwickshire.

The proposal meets the criteria set out by Government and it is evidence led, financially robust and forward looking.

Analysis confirms that both councils would be viable, resilient, and capable of managing financial risk. Each would have a coherent tax base and the scale to invest in service transformation.
